Objective:
- Our Spanish-speaking Registered Dietitian will focus on providing medical nutrition therapy and wellness education to patients via telehealth.
- We are looking for someone passionate about patient engagement in nutrition and lifestyle with the addition of technology to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Work 100% virtually
- Care for both Spanish- and English-speaking patients
- Provide care to patients and their care partners to optimize health outcomes
- Monitor patient data, such as blood sugar, weight changes through pregnancy, and blood pressure to support patients
- Time commitment: 2-8 hour per week initial commitment with additional ongoing work on an intermittent basis.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience providing patient care in pregnancy-related nutrition, including management of Gestational Diabetes, Type I and Type II Diabetes
- Education: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university
- Experience with electronic documentation and technological platforms to support patient outcomes
- Available for phone and video meetings on an intermittent basis with the Delfina Medical Group. Some availability on evenings and/or Saturdays is a plus.
- Prior training and/or experience with motivational interviewing
- CDCES preferred but not required
